Why are people such jerks regarding spoilers?

In case you didn't know, WARNING MAJOR SPOIL DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN STAR WARS 7 YET: Han dies at the end apparently.

What I don't get is why people are hellbent on ruining that sort of surprise for people that for one reason or another weren't able to see a certain movie or play a certain game. it's one thing to do what I did and give people a heads up or something before saying something, but it seems extemely ♥♥♥♥-like to just blurt it out for no reason other than to ruin it for other people.

What do you guys think?

I think people just do it to get an angry reaction out of people, it's mostly kids I'm sure.
I've been spoiled 4 times on that spoiler and the movie hasn't even been out a week. I haven't even been looking at anything Star Wars-related.

people do spoilers just to make people angry and get salty reactions, spoilers are the bane of my existence as i had to hide for a week before i watched The Force Awakens.
the good thing is people fight back against spoilers and the people who do it usually get banned from chat rooms

maybe some people don't want to spend the money to go to a theater, maybe they would rather wait until redbox or something similar to that when the price is dropped significantly

The only thing I spoil is food. Star Wars is just a movie. I saw it on launch day. Honestly, it was good. Good enough to spoil anything? Yes/No. Once you actually see the movie you will understand the spoiler. It's an outrage.
