Good old point and click adventure games
So I miss the old Sierra type of point and click video games that were actually fun. I find FPS games massively boring, and annoying. Does anyone know of any newer games that are point and click/adventure games, other than the new King's Quest?

Telltale makes some pretty good games, they're mostly click adventure games with some QuickTime events. Check them out and see what you think. The games are all story based.

Thanks, yeah, I've played the TellTale games. For some reason I am not that fond of them. I think it is because everything is so linear.. It is like you have to follow the story, they don't allow you to really go off course and get stumped.

And no real puzzles any more. I still love TellTale games, but due to the story and interactive movie approach, but not as a classic point and click.

If you want something that you can really get yourself lost playing...

The Wadjet Eye games are amazing http://store.steampowered.com/search/?publisher=Wadjet%20Eye%20Games&snr=1_7_15__13

They have a retro style but some incredible stories and challenging puzzles. I highly recommend Technobabylon, Gemini Rue, Resonance and The Blackwell titles. Unreal value for money in the sales too.

And, perhaps not the most mature game in the world, but I loved it - Metal Dead.

Try Gabriel Knight remake. Original version got me to love genre. It's too bad that todays "shoot'em up online multiplayer" hippies dont like good games like these.

Nice, thanks! The pics remind me of those old LucasArts SCUMM type of games.

Is the remake any good? Is there any new puzzles?
I have the original Gabriel Knight, loaded it up on DOSBox, actually just finished it back in October.
