Or will he still be yelling and angsty like a 20-something?
So far no rapper I've seen, and I've been following rap since the 1970s, has kept recording and performing, but also mellowed with age. Nobody in rap has done what Robert Plant, for instance, or Eric Clapton, has done. Matured his art, not just his age.
Then again, AC/DC never did that either -- they grew old, but didn't grow up -- so it's not just rap.
I am interested to see if Eminem can do what nobody has done in rap, at his age. It would be a serious turning point for the art. I doubt it, though I am willing to be surprised. Maybe Eminem chilled out, and learned from Sage Francis, Brother Ali, and Aesop -- to name three "lesser" artists whose art was born already wise and matured.
Edit: releasing later this week, and a track list -- yep: all kinds of satanic titles.

"The Death of Slim Shady" will be a one-eye occult extravaganza. Looking at those titles, he's probably going to be the next Super Bowl halftime or Grammys act.
Nope, it's the one where he kills off Slim Shady. Here's one of the tracks.

It's as cringe as me trying to lip synch Harry Styles at my kids' birthday party. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
A decade late, even. Literally every "Lil X" artist in the whole industry has done that act.
Now the old guy does it like "Hello, fellow kids!" What a shame.
Thats one better that the first, but nfts are mostly long gone.
-50 points for having janet yellon. That lady is sending us off an economic cliff. She tells the elites whatever they wanna hear, like yes we can afford multi wars at the same time while fighting inflation

Thanks for linking it. Meh. As I predicted -- he looks a bit more mature, but his music and production isn't, at all. It would have been nice to see him drop the edginess. It's like seeing Rage Against the Machine with walkers and golf pants, but still raging. Not cool for a 55 year old.
Plus, as predicted, occult symbolism from the first frames. How could it be otherwise.
