I often want to list spring, summer, fall, and winter, with icons (that way they can visually be a 1-character prefix for lists, keeping things in order with the seasons that they occurred within) but I can't get them to go in order without using icons from different generations of emoji and / or an additional character.
Sometimes dividing up into 12 is too much division in categories and numbers are extremely ambiguous since you can replace anything you want with numbers, so they're pretty cryptic and non-specific, unlike an icon that has a symbol that one can make some sense of associated with it. You also can't even divide into 12 with a single character set unless you use base 12 and include A & B for 10 & 11, and never actually count to 12 because 0 is your first number - or maybe you use base 13 instead and include C, & now 10 = 13 instead of 10= 12, and you can see that this just gets more and more confusing when you start swapping number-bases instead of using symbols.
And that includes the cringe-inducing gobshite that Apple is pushing out of their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-shattered cloaca at this point in time. But then again I think Apple should probably cease to exist for multiple reasons.

Apparently it was one of the original emoji & part of the miscellaneous symbols that started it all.
I would presume that would extend to kaomoji too...

It's already included in the LGB(T)+ flag, making it redundant. It's also privileged in the way that there are no les, gay, bi ir hetero flag emojis despite being way more prevalent. In my opinion, representation is important but it's not okay to have one and not the others.
