But if you've got disposable income and like Star Trek, it might be up your alley. Otherwise, my only other recommendation is the Star Trek: The Next Generation game on the Genesis. Was alright, even if I kept dying on minecrafts all the time.
Least it's playable in that regard unlike the Game Gear port of Sonic 2.

But then again I've never played an official Trek game
Can be played as an exploration game and has an assortment of ships that can be optimized for dedicated explorers.
