How to make a 60 year old into a gamer
My dad is wants to get me more and is willing to try video games and I want to hook him as much as possible. His experience with video games started and ended with the Pac-Man era so to speak. I would like to know which games that someone with practically no gaming experience can ease into. He really liked watching me playing red dead redemption undead nightmare.

Depend of his taste, story telling? Rpg with choice? Fps? Puzzle ? Relaxed games?

Give him Red Dead Redemption. If it's what he was fascinated in, why not give him a try. Just tell him the basic controls or let him play the tutorials. He may even help you grind loot! :hp_kyu:

Show em' Bubble Shooter, and when he's ready for it, slowly introduce pops to Scrabble Online or even Mahjong; before you know it he'll become steadfast and addicted gamer.

Make sure he doesn't play on Valve servers but vanilla community servers (skial is the best one out there so far). All the Valve servers are filled with bots.

The Borderlands games. They are kinda easy and have coop. The humor aspects may be off-putting. Shooting crazed midget raiders is an acquired taste.

Depends if he will be more into shooting or into exploring. Puzzle games may be too hard. A good puzzle game is Portal 1 and 2.

Fallout 3 is easy and has an amazing opening. Very impressive to somone that has never seen it.

Here is a simple, short free one.

Maybe watch some playthroughs on YouTube of ones you like. To give him an easy taste. Then try to figure out which ones he would like.

Minecraft. Building a base together would probably cheer him up.
