why are gamers so toxic?

like i mean like they are legit toxic. there is justified toxic like someone throwing or not caring or when they lose but there are people who live to be toxic.


so many games i see like league or dead by daylight people join with a toxic mental. they will ether trash talk or throw if they see something they don't like or in dbd case will annoy tf out of you and make you regret playing the game.


like its insane how people take the internet being annoyances and will max it out to the highest toxic level they can.

in ow people would 1 trick the worst hero in the game to piss off the whole community cause if you picked that hero and you suck its ggs and people loved that for attention.


its one thing to care more than others or to lose and be mad but man these people really are something else. i am even shocked the devs even allow this behavior tbh.

you swear at someone you get banned but oh no if you throw or use anything in the game for toxic benefits thats fine lol.

Gaming life and real life, are two entirely different things. Most gamers, dabble in gaming, so as they can escape from the latter. It's only natural for somebody to be on edge, the moment they cross aspects of real life inside gaming, especially ones that ruin their mood and affect both of their lives (such as woke or political correctness, among other things).

A "vocal" minority are toxic, and a kind of more modern and younger "good old boy" network exists for a slightly larger pool of gamers, but exists for all ethnic groups; Asians of all stripes, Germans, Greek, various European nationalities, South Americans and so forth.

The toxic players tend to be those who cannot succeed socially, as most gamers I've gamed with tend to be passive relaxed people, and watch toxic gamers shoot their mouths off.

most cultures turn out the way I described; it's hard to say gaming is any worse than any others. it's what makes peoples complaints about toxicity so annoying; they're more likely prejudiced against games and ignore toxicity elsewhere.

As previously mentioned the lack of consequence allows people to do things they wouldn't.

It's happened a few times where particularly toxic people have been doxed and end up being some 18- 22 year old working a minimum wage job, bored out of his mind or a middle aged man working a 9 - 5 with a family.

Seems to be mostly men but that is anecdotal
