Tesla security risk
Elon Musk goes announcing to the world after he just uninstalled his security software which protects you from malware, viruses, exploits, data breaches and hackers, etc.

CrowdStrike had a global outage, which was due to a pushed update and not a security concern, however causes systems to crash out.

The fix is to reboot those system into safe mode and reupdate the CrowdStrike software.

CrowdStrike is cyber security software which uses web/cloud-based anti-virus protection and monitors your systems for any malicious activities to block and prevent.

Why did Elon Musk tell the world on xTwitter he removed it from protecting his customers?

He just told everyone he removed his security system. This might affect Tesla, xTwitter or whatever it was once protection.

Now other companies which Tesla relies on will still be using CrowdStrike anyways, so it won't help him at all prevent this ideally once off only issue, except allow a security hole.

So a far warning to those who might be using his technology. Be on the look out for questionable activities or phishing attempts with any updates, etc.

Doesn't that just drop the company out of compliance?

Hopefully he's got a replacement security setup?

CrowdStrike is for commercial use.

As to why, I don't know. Why don't you ask him?

Crowdstrike has been flawless in the past. It's also trusted. It's why companies use it on a massive global scale.

The forced update push was a mess up, but the first and only time in the companies entire history.

It's the highest detection rate, fastest MTTD of all vendors tested. Has AI machine learning for unknown malware, exploit blocking and advanced Indicator of Attack (IOA) behavioral techniques.

Well I'm hoping Elon Musk has got at least something to replace it and not just going to keep his customers exposed.
