What's your sound setup for gaming?
Headphones, In-Ear Monitors, Speakers, Surround, etc?

I've been using Samson SR850 big semi-open heaphones for a few years and like them a lot, also use Audio-Technica ATH-EP700 piano monitor open backs sometimes. AT2020 usb for the mic, too.

Wondering what other people like.

Some old Logitech 5.1 set.

Still seems to work well enough. Don't really feel like buying a new one yet unless it falls apart.

Hyper X Headset.

Gifted my PC speakers away, when i didn´t live alone any more. And i personally wouldn´t want to live next to some game guy, and the sound out of his room, or apartment, was all about explosions and stuff. Also didn´t go for a sound card when i build this PC, as onboard sound got much better, but i looked to have a decent chip when buying the mainboard.

For a short time i used my HiFi components and the speakers in addition to it, when it was to watch movies on the PC with a girlfriends in bed - but not at this place, as it was meant to be a temporary place. Would also have worked for gaming, as i think that this setup is superior to whatever i had before, while i only had this for TV and music before...

Just headphones. Used to have amp with bookshelf speakers but amp broke down. Most PC speakers are useless rubbish that sound like tin cans.

i was more thinking of what people used because i want to upgrade. currently just plugging my headphones into my laptop and sometimes it's a little thin, even using an equalizer. as someone else said, sound stuff stays good for a long time and there are a lot of discontinued items on the used market that are still good quality.

check out the sound blaster play!3, relatively cheap (~$25, currently under $18 on amazon at the moment) and uses the SBX pro software suite, you can adjust the levels of DAC enhancements like headphone v-surround (which is top-notch), "warm" sound and "smart volume" / "night mode" leveling - and you can set profiles for different headphones / speakers. Great for gaming / movies / music alike. Always bring it along with my laptop when on the go to get the same great sound as on my main rig.

The G3 is an upgrade for about 2x the price (~$45) and gives you SBX as well as console compatibility and game/voice mixing, and top notch noise cancellation for mic in gaming / online meetings etc.

Audioengine HD6 powered bookshelf loudspeakers + S8 Subwoofer

Beyerdynamic MMX 300 PRO
(I would recommend the MMX 300 Gen 2, instead of the PRO, for gaming and standard sound card setup, this is an audiophonic headset I use for my guitar setup with the PC setup)

Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset
(this is my gaming setup for night time)

sounds like very high tech equipment you have there,
ideally I would use some sound bar or speaker that can accurately describe location, all head phones restrict neck movement.
Bluetooth isnt ideal for me, because of lag and the way it emit signal.

in reality, I use a Sony ear plug, without mic, I have been playing cracked single games for a long time, and I cant talk in my house. I feel weird talking in games, I type without feeling weird.
