The Gone in 60 Seconds remake (I forget if it was 2001, 2000, or 1999) was really good, and I don't think it came up on this thread yet.

If you want a good film to sit down and watch "Smoke".

Made in 1995 it centres around a shop and the friends who use it.

An unexpected treat i found it on a VHS was not expecting much and it is not a action film or a political thriller or anything like that.

Normal guys (With Harvey Keitel) just hanging out and it feels like it actually means something just watching this film, maybe its just me it struck a chord with I don't know.
The film nobody has heard of maybe.

Another good film with a totally different theme and acting set :

The Shawshank Redemption Morgan Freeman's narration brings an already good film to a new height.

I went to Michigan back in the 80's for a family reunion in Indiana and they had a tape of The Breakfast Club. I watched it every day that I was there.

Easily one of the best movies of the 80's.
