“The Boys” S5 Prediction

No direct spoilers, but after watching the finale;

I think the show’s ending (if it is next season) is obvious.

The final fight will be Butcher vs Ryan, but really Kessler vs Butcher and Ryan. You know Butcher will have a change of heart, see his dead wife, and trying to stop himself from himself (Kessler) killing Ryan. I honestly believe there’s a big chance that the fight with Homelander will be pretty anticlimactic like the comic book where Homelander gets his absolute ass handed to him. The real villain will end up being Butcher, which again, sorta kinda goes with the comic.

Nope. The comic themes no longer apply in the era of "Woke". Homelander will be torn apart by the masses, after suitably having the ♥♥♥♥ kicked out of him, and Starlight will lead us into a new era of superheroes based upon the "will of the people", as defined by Leftists.

They simply cannot make both sides the bad guy, they never have, and the whole theme of the concept, the idea that people can't be trusted with power, was already subverted ages ago. As it stands now, the show's own writer is pissed off about the fact that some people pity Homelander.

He went out of hi way to make Homelander awful, in every way he could conceive, but as a Leftist, he ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in Homelander wanting a family. To normal people, that is normal. Who doesn't want a family? Given the treatment Homelander was subjected to, why wouldn't they?

But it isn't so in Leftism. The family is cancer, it distracts from the fight, the revolution, it takes attention away from the collective, and so we're going to get that story instead.

It was part of the comics.

The only main issues were with them forgetting how strong Stormfront was, and how Ryan's nuclear bomb heat vision attack was literally that, flash of light and all. At least his attack could easily destroy her.

Ugh. It seemed so unrelenting. This show makes light of sexual assault and rape, doesn't matter the gender of the victim nor the gender of the predator. The disgust level is high as it is and they just keep adding more ways to do it.

To be fair, I've fast-forwarded through so much of that. It's alarming that this show is popular amongst young people. I know my old lady ass needs to remember the ♥♥♥♥ I was raised to listen, watch, sing along with, dance to and just accept as whatever. But the bar is so low now.

And we get a season 6, leading to 10 more seasons. Despite Kripke saying 5 would be the last. With everyone now dealing with supernatural cases.

It does the bare minimum because the comics would make no sense ever to do fully as I even explained.
Even the people who like the comics don't hate the show.
Because they know how it has to be completely different to translate to a different medium.

People really need to stop thinking something has to be 1 for 1 all the time or it's garbage.

That's like saying the Doom movie is the best video game movie. :P
