Why does everyone hate copper in Minecraft?

There's so many blocks that are only for decoration and copper is the one that gets hate... Why?

They need more functionality, unique swords or armor might be a good start, or perhaps another way of sending red stone signals. I don't hate copper, actually I like it, but it is a really should have something added to it game play wise.

copper needs to massively refined in what it does.
Kind of like how whoever came up with the Warden design and the nonsense of the Deep Dark, needs to be tried at the Hague. :P

Literally nobody hates copper, its one of the most used blocks when creating detailed exteriors.

We don't hate copper since we play modded. And in modded its always useful as bronze equipment, or making machines, or fluid pipes, or electricity wires.
