The Dwarves are entirely CGI because Peter Dinklage whined that having real little people was offensive, so no little people got any jobs working at the movie thanks to Tyrion Lannister defending their dignity.

The skin thing seems fair to me. Pale AF skin hasn't been a beauty trope in a long-ass time. To modern eyes, it would just look sickly or even evil. Which clearly wouldn't have been the intent. So even if they did cast a white chick, "Snow White" couldn't have been interpreted literally. Seems from a writing perspective, it would be more about some kind of moral purity or something, with the skin playing into that in 30's logic.

The kissing part, I dunno, that and the sleeping always felt like they combined into a metaphor about romance, so for that reason it should be fine. But modern audiences are too stupid for metaphors so I can't blame them for not wanting to be accused of whateverism or rape or etc. also, what kingdom? Has it really been that long since I last watched the movie?

I dunno man there's also the part where the dwarves just don't look like real humans anyway. It's a remake of the Disney film and lemme tell ya, ain't nobody got a Dopey or Grumpy nose. They'd have to bring Durante back from the dead. But sure, little people haven't been allowed to be actors in a long-ass time.

It's not going to be as good as the original animated film, and that's still readily available for people to watch.
