Playstation 5 boot takes longer
So recently I started getting an issue, my PS5 takes longer to boot. When you turn it on then the PS logo disappears it stays in that black screen longer than it should anyone else been getting this lately? I have reset the PS5 to factory default, cleared cache and rebuilt database and nothing has worked.

Strange. You're not in the beta program, are you? Also it might be worth checking for any system updates or trying a different HDMI cable to see if that helps. If those don’t resolve the issue, it could be a sign of hardware issues or maybe dust buildup. Btw is it the 2021-22 model or the "slim" one?

It's the slim version, there was a software update two weeks ago but only started noticing this last week so wondering if maybe that's the problem. Don't think it's HDMI.

Mine did this and it did resolve itself. I didn't reset my PS5.

Keep in mind that full storage drives get slower when almost full. So if you keep your storage almost capped, it can slow your system down.

I don't know if that was the case or not.

My PS5 was doing this and it's now working fine.

It might be the update then or Ray Rook might be right. Storage issues?

Definitely not storage issues as I barely filled it but if yours has done this in the past and it sorted itself out I might wait for a little bit and see what happens, at least till the next software update and if nothing works I'll call Playstation support. Was yours slow because of storage or was it just slow in general?

Just slow for about a week. Sorry I don't have more details. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, but it was an annoyance so I get where you're coming from. It wasn't storage for me. I keep mine at 80% on purpose at most.

No need to apologise dude, I appreciate the help. Cool, hopefully mine will sort itself out as well.
