Anyone else bothered by spelling errors in games
Am I the only one who finds it a little sloppy by developers when there is a spelling error in a game your playing? You may be reading along with the sub titles and you notice a spelling error or grammar error? Anyone else bothered or not?

i fink that speling erors in games is super anoying and i realy hope it gets fiksd soon
No on a real note, if the gameplay is absolutely superb, i can overlook a few grammatical errors, however if it isn't even remotely close to engaging and the content is pathetic... I can sometimes be a bit nitpicky too.
It depends. How big of a studio and is it their native language would be the two primary things that could make it more or less annoying.
I can forgive a few typos, a handful will always sneak in no matter how much QA a script goes through. It's botched translations that I find unforgiveable.
I'm used to it from the films I watch, some companies are terrible when it comes to checking their subs. Not just typos but clearly incorrect words from some of them and that's even on subs for the native language of the film.

I predict it'll get worse in games with the rise of AI because they'll shove it off for that to do it.
For me in any game its noticeable and I dont care what game I think its just sloppy

Suppose it depends on country and their native language yes

I don't see this that often, and I can forgive the occasional typo.
I also don't see why this seems like a big deal.
I noticed it when I was playing Tom Clancy's Hawx off my CD from 2009, that was Ubisoft, and I remember seeing it when I first played it in 2009, they couldnt spell COMPLETE right, they spelled it as "COMPELETE" ...OOPS
Maybe not to you but me sometimes it bothers me.

I remember playing Solstice and finishing it. I played through all the way ti was perfect and then a spelling error crept up in the game...it was only 1 but yeah that was sucky

As far as I'm concerned, subtitles are way more annoying by themselves, than any spelling errors whatsoever.
Depends how big the company is. Also, you can just report the spelling mistake too. I think I've reported errors like that once or two.

You can inform devs, sure. But whether they fix them or not...

I know one game on Steam that is absolutely appalling. Abysmal translation, poor English grammar, terrible spelling mistakes throughout from start to finish. The company responsible for the English release knows about these and doesn't care. They will not fix the issues.

Same :sakurabeachmomokolaugh:. I always turn them off.
There was a time it annoyed me. Nowadays I don't care about such things anymore.
