My guess would be micro managing multiple corporate social media accounts. Which might as well be a new type of addiction.

hm does it really count if they're being paid to do that uwu

I say yes, since there are people who are workaholics or others who literally work themselves voluntarily to death.

If the person is incapable of separating their internet personality from the physical world—internet slang, talking points, social media-esque discussion, etc—then they fall under the term, from my point of view. I don't believe duration to be as much of a problem as is unconscious adoption of minor accumulative traits. Of course, there is a barrier and circumstantial exceptions.

Those who live in remote areas without much in the way of human interaction available are liable to spend quite some time online doing one thing or another—that comes from personal experience. But on the other hand, those that choose to live a digital hermit's lifestyle while in an urban centre could fall under the term or they have some other underlying issue that ails them.

When you turn your PC on when you wake up and off when you go to bed probably qualifies.

Some people never turn off their PC at night. They let the 324 open tabs in their browser update overnight. At least I am not that bad. I don't even use multiple tabs.

People who make a topic and the content is a youtube link and nothing else. I imagine these are people who get their full understanding of normal people and the outside world from the internet. I was shocked when I learned people like this actually exist, I thought it was just a meme but this placed proved me wrong.

Just about all of us are 'chronically online' but it depends if your doing bad things to your mind and soul slowly wrecking yourself like a slow train wreck. This thread is garbage.

A lot like modern drugs where you feel good at first but your body pumps things out that requires more and more till you become a literal 'crack head' and you wind up going one of two ways in life.

I think it's when you have the chance you'll be online.

There are several users on here who can't seem to make any post without linking YouTube videos or tweets at the bottom, and I've noticed that often times these users also constantly copy-paste the same vids and tweets in nearly all of their posts.

Some people genuinely can't use their own words or form their own opinions. I have to say, I may disagree with most people here, but I have some respect for the people who actually type out their own thoughts. Not so much for the people who do the aforementioned thing of having their favorite youtubers talk for them.
