[LIES] Corporate Monopoly
I've been seeing some hot garbage, out of touch takes lately about young people. One that sticks out to me continuously is "If you don't want to work for someone else, work for yourself" or something to that extent.

This is just so painfully dated I don't have words for it- but, I'll try to explain it so even a non-sentient rock could grasp the concept.

Late stage capitalism paired with government/corporate lobbying has made it impossible to be successful without being bought out. Sure, you might make a successful platform or game, something along those lines- but eventually the only real way to continue either growth or profit is to sell out to a bigger fish. This is why we have tech giants- this is why we have grocery chains. It makes me lose faith in human intelligence when I'm having to explain this to grown adults.

Let me simplify it further.

Why would you pay a solo web developer when there are drag-and-drop services online for a much cheaper price?

Why would you go to someone who makes their own clothes, paying well over 400% of what it would cost from a box store?

Why would you get your lawn mowed by the neighbourhood kids when there are services that do it for dirt cheap? (economically, not morally)

These instances keep stacking.

With AI, the same will be happening to art as a whole- every medium. Movies, TV-Shows, Music, Books, all of it. Why would you pay a human worker with a bunch of variability in their conditions and quality of product when you can pay for a machine that not only does it better- but faster. So much faster that it's not even comparable by any realistic means. Who has access to this wonder tech? It's not the common-folk.

Are we really on track to meet a revolution as we enter a new technological revolution? Currently, it just feels like some people are living to exist on government money because jobs are full up- and the ones that aren't pay for nothing, or require you to pay for schooling to attain- closing the loop of wealth and wealthy paying jobs, directly limiting it to already wealthy families.

Wish I could burn the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing tbh

90% of all millionaires did it with real estate......why go after things with no track record???
its going to have to be radical economic change

these corpos hording the money will have to support all the 50 percent or whatever number people who lose work to ai. I dont see any way out of the mess without semi socialism or something to do that. Either that or french revolution and dutch sabot wearers but we dont want that outcome either.

idk if there is a easy fix involving capitalism

All I have to do is see the people you're friends with, and it all makes sense

If we follow the money trail, then its one group of people that own either directly or influentially basically everything.
Instead of fighting them, I am just investing alongside them..

The fun thing is when people go wonkers about different brands and can´t even see that they are owned by the same people if you go high enough.. its so funny.

People are kept stupid for a reason. If people knew, they'd consequently know it's wrong- and they definitely don't want that to happen. They'd rather pay a botnet for mindless spam on threads threatening their ideological rooting; pretty sure that's what's happening with boomer

But comments like this are dangerous on the web and are often removed.

This is deeply antisemitic

I like it.
We're locking this thread as it has devolved into non-productive argument. Thanks for your understanding.
