MAPs, pedo support on Valve side and a tale of euphemisms

I reported an ongoing activity running for 18 hours here on Steam forums which indicates a MAP (Minor Attracted Person, washing euphemism for pedo) operating their disgusting activities. Three hours laters no action was taken by Steam support so I decided to call for help on a populated thread I happen to know. I just made a single post, not even linking the disgusting thread, pointing directions people could find and report said CRIMINAL activity.

1. I got shocked by the reactions at that second 'community', which resulted on a report on MY post.

2. I can't calculate the precise timing, anyway I received 'A warning from a member of Steam Support', which deleted my post under allegations of 'spamming'. By *a single post made in a forum*.

3. I went off to that second 'community' once again to politely express my full disbelief on what was happening. For some intuition I decided to check for any development a few minutes later, just to discover my second post was silently deleted while the original offending thread is there, no actions taken against it in any shape or form.

So my only conclusion here is: MAP, ie, PEDO activity is also a tolerated thing on Valve forums too!

I'm taking screenshots and notes on everything, I happen to know some influencers on various degrees of the industry, I'm seriously concerned on what the PRESENT is already hiding from those who ignore how deep we already descended as a society.

I'm shocked. I'm really shocked.

Depending on where you post it could be considered off topic, and sometimes the mods will delete the post and a few post related to it as to not disrupt the thread. Naming a person could also result in similar action. Odds are someone did report you, otherwise it wouldn't of removed.

If You´re really concerned about criminal activities You should contact the authorities, as valve can´t and wouldn´t do much on their own anyways. Like what should they do? Ban the people so they open a new account?

With the number of people both messing with underage and those that are screaming that everyone is messing with those underage, your post about people messing with underage people falls on deaf ears, many of them underage. Tldr: call cops, goto ic3.gov, send a support ticket to steam, but nobody can help you here.

The moment criminal activity arises then you need to contact authorities. Even if he isn’t convicted they can still keep an eye on that person.

Before proceeding to shout "pedo", just inspect the local legislation of the persons involved. In legal matters, there is the "age of consent", which isn't the same as 18+, or the age somebody is considered to be an adult.

Age of consent varies from country to country and is scandalously low in certain countries, such as Japan.

By the way, if you think anime fans are pedos and anime equals to child p_rn, then you are badly mistaken and a sore loser. Let's just hope it's not another one of "those" threads... Like, "ban anime", "anime fans are pedos" etc.

I'm definetely not trolling. I can't say how much I like Steam and etc, but if that's a thing with their alignment or training or a single deranged support member, I'll leave to the authorities, which I'm already in talks on how can I go about this.

It took me a single higher ups public summit to realize I am not to leave things run on their own anymore. I trusted the system back then, not anymore. Still I'll have to escalate things since Steam is not displaying a slight hint of good will towards the issue, ie, the offending post is still up - while I received a friendly warning I wasn't being banned or anything. FOR MY CONCERN ON A PEDO MAKING ADVANCES TOWARDS THE COMMUNITY!!!! How ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this situation can be?!

Thank you for your hint on the FBI. There are some jurisdiction implied, etc, etc. But I'm sure we'll figure it all well enough. At the heat of the moment I was completely out of my mind, just focusing on taking the matter to you, guys, so I could have some clues on how to deal with this. Again: I will not leave it like this. I'm already seeing the usual suspects being upfront towards defending that kind of monsters IRL, I'm scratching my head on how can I deal with that since I'm feeling betrayed by those I used to think were my fellow Christian brothers, building a better and safer world for all of us, now I'm facing a reality where I may need to lock any possible child I'd have away from Steam, where I built entire libraries for my family to safely have some fun.

ever think maybe they're checking the validity of your claims and/or contacting relevant officials and not feeling the need to inform you?

Either way, that only proves Steam had TWICE the opportunities to do something about the offensor, chosing to delete my requests for help with false allegations instead, which is... plain crazy. Not only that, cowardly deleting my second post while doing nothing concerning the actual problem hints at least there is a very problematic person at their staff acting suspiciously to say the least

It's time for them to make some serious changes on their policies - or is it time for people to know what kind of company they actually are/have become, I'm not sure. Anyway, I'll sure keep an eye on how things will develop for the next few days before heading up to the authorities, which I'll definetely do no matter what happens. I'll do some further investigations in the meantime, all data is already stored on a secure external drive, I'm doing my part and I hope everyone else does theirs. We're losing the battle, and I'm staggering shocked by discovering how low we already are. I have a clear conscience on what I did over the years in attempts to prevent we could delve so low, but I'll keep fighting no matter where or how despite this having ruined my Life. It's not about success - it's about doing the right thing. It's a pain to me to think Steam may be involved in this kind of thing even if it's by means of omission. Again, this is not up to me. But I will not watch this happen without any action.

Change their training, monitor their support associates' actions, make this case an example by firing the people behind this situation.

Yes I will contact some agencies. I watched small hints ending entire rings of abuse covering entire global regions. I'm not sure what's behind the curtains here, rest assured I'll do anything I can to make a change. Child abuse is at staggering rampant increasing numbers lately, and I will not be part of the number who turns the blind eye and frown cowardly in response.
