Agreed. No sane, rational person would believe Sakura Ogami from "Danganrompa" is similar to Inaho Yamato from "Kakegurui"... but whatever boats OP's float, I suppose.
I mean, he thinks anyone who likes Femboys is a pedo, so the police probably just laughed him off.
LOL. Bit dark there.
Poor economic circumstances, unfair hierarchies, conspicuous need. These things produce outliers from society fairly predictably.
Interesting read to say the least.
https://blog.osum.com/steam-user-demographics/
shows Steam users aged 25 to 34 made up 26.6% of the user share.
35 to 44 represented 15.5% of the Steam user share.
45 to 54 accounted for 12.4% of the user base.
55 to 64 made up 8.4% of the U.S.
65 and older represented 4.2% of the total user base.
Statista numbers are a bad joke.
That totals 67.1% out of the entire user base, numbers valid for September, 2020.
Another apocryph number I've found tells ~20% out of Steam user base consists of 18 years old and less, off of a user base totalling 120+ million individuals. Pretty impressive numbers.
As I'm writing this, the offending thread asking for, and I quote,
"thoughts on cute femboys who barely reach your shoulders",
which is followed by comments in the likes of
"that must be a child",
"I certainly enjoy having my sona drawn that way. I'd share some of the commissions I've gotten here if they weren't NSFW, lol",
"Im here who wants some?"
and "they won't be 'cute' anymore when they get old and wrinkly."
is still up and running. By this time, there is still a person banned at that thread, which may or may not indicate Steam personnel is fully aware of that situation, let alone there's the fact that 24+ hours ago I reported the situation getting myself two posts deleted by moderators, plus having a nice friendly warning that I wasn't being banned or anything for that, for the moment.
Initially it appeared to me it was only a matter of reporting a very disgraceful thread, which is the first and only report I made in this platform since I started being an active member of, and things would be solved in a decent, expected manner. I'm definitely not an activist, whistleblower or anything. That doesn't mean I won't dive deep in the sh1t if that is the only way to ensure I'll have a safer world for my family and friends to Live in, as well as my community. If Valve will turn into/already is a too big of a company to be a safe haven for pedo activities, I really hope they don't hope they can simply frown upon the situation whilst being embraced by a legion of drones ready to kill and die for defending its honor, and that's why soon it became clear to me I must bring this to the authorities' attention, as well as regulators and any other agency whose body of work is aimed towards protecting families and children against monsters. I honestly doubt a number of developers and publishers will do a thing concerning all of this, for the same very reasons Valve won't fix TF2, won't launch a 3rd anything, won't bring any care for CS2 gray market, won't stop exposing people to explicit sexual content as their main hyped Discovery Queue during major sales, etc, etc, etc. Everybody is making a choice here, I refuse to side pedo activities in any degree, shape or form.
I am already in contact with two senators' personal assistants, as well as making preparations to contact a nation-wide major television station, can't say whether or not this will receive any attention, nor what kind of. If that's another undefeatable boss I must fight having a curse disguised as a blessing, so be it. I won't stop fighting monsters or this level of threats even if they have the silent complicity of a company I happen to love and support... until a certain level of trust is broken.
If a number of you are ready to perform whataboutery/tism, messenger shooting, personal discredit and laughing in defense of a possible offender with clear dog whistling behavior raising answers from like-minded peers, that's up to you. I refuse to watch an unfolding situation like that without any repercussions, and I'm astonished by how dismissive Steam personnel, either by individual behavior or as a matter of the company's policies, are. If this is a twisted reality where both a number of conservatives and progressists unite towards defending that kind of attitude, well... we ARE already doomed as a society, and I am grateful I don't have any of those around me, a person capable of cutting ties to partners in ongoing multi-million dollar projects right after realizing what kind of people they really are, among other stories.
If you really care about your family and children, it's kind of sad to admit Epic Games may be a safe place for children to stay at the moment I'm writing this - and I still have concerns on Epic's end when it comes to privacy issues, EA, Ubisoft clients to a lesser degree, I'm not confident enough GOG managed to fix their client's technical nightmare since it was flagged as such. At some point I plan to write Mudahar (@SomeOrdinaryGamers) and Sydney Watson towards the issue as I'm convinced people must be aware Steam may no longer be a safe place for kids and families to stay, at least when it comes to Forums. As Forums are an integral part of the experience, strictly tied to the gaming experience via shift+tab interface, I'm afraid there isn't much of a choice here. Some may laugh at this arguing the Internet is not a general safe place to be overall, I'm just pointing some sort of labeling must be put upfront in ways of making people aware this is an adults-only platform or at least a 'no kids-friendly' one.
Keep us posted on how all of this will go.

This appears to be the offending thread
Edit:Just looked through the "MAP" thread, Op should be banned for crying wolf.
The recent banwave that hit thousands of bot and cheater accounts, and cheaters now slowly getting banned post-wave says different.
You're jousting windmills, a meme topic about femboys has zero to do with MAP practices, or ideology. I say this as someone who has actively spent time outing groomers online to the cops, and working with them in stings.
But, joust away Mr. Quixote.
It is absolutely amazing how much you care about the safety of children BUT at the same time how much adamant you are in NOT understanding that NOTHING about the internet and its services including things like Steam or ePig will ever be safe enough for them to have a personal account.
It just does not work like that.
If you really care so much about children find a way to not leave them alone in front of a screen expecially if connected to the internet rather than ruining your life in a fight against windmills.
Is there a way to make you understand this? Internet is not and will never be safe enough for children. Gaming platforms are not and never will be safe enough for children alone. Just don't do that. You keep accusing others but it looks like you are absolutely not willing to understand your mistakes and change your behaviour or your projects.
You thought that internet or at least some of its services were safe enough for children but YOU made a mistake. If you keep talking like this it is you the one who are doing a damage against kids: I bet there are a lot of bad parents who just want to leave their little children in front ofd a screen and your kind of mentality gives them an excuse.
Next it'll likely be expanded to "heathens" (those who don't follow the faith.)
Quickest way to dehumanize others, is to say they target kids. Like when Nazis were claiming the Jews were abducting and using the blood of non-Jewish kids for rituals. This tactic was called Blood Libel, between that and false claiming of poisoning wells/water supplies, they were used to justify dehumanizing and prejudice against the Jewish folk since the middle ages.
