the sexual assault conviction was also for his wife, as they were married in an arranged marriage in the middle east. he didn't have much money growing up, but she did. and the parents wanted the marriage consummated immediately, as a show of good faith. (both parental generations had had hard family lives and wanted to see the next generation developing.) then like two or three years in she tried to sue because he wanted her to stop taking her post partum medication now, because she was a legally documented huge jerk while she was on it, and she wanted him to stop charity and raise the kid for her while she negotiated in boardrooms.
I understand she was the major driving force behind selling the brand, and doesn't really take his ideas about class change seriously. she kind of thinks he was poor because of his idealism, and doesn't want to face that she equates her own class with the immoral things she encourages.
the mr beast brand, for example. which she named because she loved how 'beastly' his beard made him look and was mildly threatened by him for reasons she's probably still unpacking.
still, totally cool that they're pretending it's the same guy while they tank the company for sexual assault. totally not his wife doing this to relitigate the case that she lost.
doesn't help that they knew eachother growing up, either.
anyway she's the one that convinced him to have the case sealed, since they were making up again.
