I have to be honest, the racism that is supposed to be between the lines is leaking out in this thread full force.

The games are just the bait used by the ragebait industry to get you watch their videos and generate ad revenue.
Of course, the moment a new game is making the rounds and being trending topic on searches and news you're going to get a lot of videos titled "[Insert game name here] IS NOW WOKE!!", thumbnailed by the face of an angry grown ass man and a lot of arrows pointing at stuff.
WHY that new piece of whatever has become woke is largely irrelevant. All that matters is getting you glued to the screen watching a grown adult having a totally not staged meltdown on your screen (Because streams and videos are totally a slice of life, not a manufactured product to be sold on a platform)
And then some people get genuinely pissed at whatever rant that was, just like some people hate at an actor for playing a villain in a movie. Then go on forums to ramble about it, mixed with the bunch that do the same just for the pleasure of rustling some forum jimmies and the ones who use it as a excuse to spread bigotry.
IMO having a full grown man having a screaming mental breakdown on screen to a single form of a game character creation screen was the epythome of the stage-i-fication of rage in social networks for the sake of interactions. A full on man behaving on screen like the little german raging kid meme.

The real definition of what "Woke" means.
Based on the actions of people who self identify as woke, and based on the criticisms levied against wokeness, this what I believe people mean when they say 'woke'.
- Adjective. Ironic pejorative. (as in, look at how aware and cognizant of there own actions this person isn't)
- Being brainwashed. Not thinking for yourself. Similar to an NPC.
- Believing anything the mainstream media says no matter how contradictory it is to anything else the mainstream media would have you believe.
- Woke content tends to align with "Progressive" political policy. The content itself does not actually matter. What does is strict adherence to a narrative. If that narrative changes then previously "woke" content will suddenly be deemed as "deeply offensive".
It is both an admission that someone is going along with what they have been told to think, and an admonishment that someone is going along with what they have been told to think.
There's no need for it, because presumably if you're a normal human being you're not really prejudice, or if you are, then you keep it to yourself and don't become a nuisance.
"Woke" in this context is just more creating slang to sell an idea. If you don't like it, then don't use it.

That's what I've been asking of Hollywood. I'm sick of being shamed based on my physical characteristics.

Well, that's because everything is.
Comics used to be fun. Sexy girls. Big strong men saving the world. Beating up the bad guy. Now it's twinks teaming with strong women to take down (perceived) societal injustices.
The same could be said of action movies. The 1980's movies were cool. The lead is male. He defeats the enemy. Saves the world. Gets the girl. And lots of explosions.
Today it's a diverse group of women taking down the (perceived) patriarchy. 90+ minutes of shaming and insulting men. That's not art. It's propaganda.
