Amazon Prime Gaming Loot is finally *Dead*
I'm assuming that (along with the quality of everything else) that Amazon has basically lost all their Prime Gaming partners and nobody has any intention of renewing them?

The page used to be packed full of in-game content and over the last year it's been cleared out like a fire-sale. Currently the ONLY one being offered is a Summer themed pack for Lost Ark and that is literally it for in-game content.

Can't find any official announcement for this, but it kinda seems like the writing is on the wall, especially with Overwatch 2 suddenly being pulled with zero statements being made.

Guess I can add yet another reason to cut my ties with Amazon completely.

Why would you use Amazon for anything related to gaming when Steam exists.

It's not a platform to launch games. They gave out free games and in-game loot drops as a part of being a Prime member.

I only cared about the drops, tbh.

It was "ok" for awhile then it just kinda took a nosedive off a cliff.

Amazon is a good online shop I buy a lot of stuff from it the service is fine and it has a lot of good stuff usually at honest prices. I would never pay the subscription to prime service it is pointless imo in most cases I do not pay the delivery anyway and the service is very good and fast even without prime.
If you thought that paying a subscription was a not completely bad idea it's just your fault, sorry.

Yea. League pulled theirs a while ago. It was pretty good though. I've got a ton of great games from it.

I watch a fair bit on Prime Video. All the perks are OK for us. Dog food and stuff comes regularly. We rarely encounter the drop-ship stuff we used to. Still fine with Prime here. Claimed a few games. Nothing amazing. Humble would be the better of the two in that regard

Seems all the content tie-ins have gone the way of the dodo. Even the most recent ones. (I don't think Pokemon GO rewards were there for more than 6 months) Now it's just some free games and ads for the F2P ones on their platform.

I used to get the Destiny 2 Freebies and I could still get some skins for BF 2042 and a couple old Overwatch 2 Skins (I've launched the game like twice since the old OW died, but redeemed the skins anyway. Not the +5 Battlepass level rewards)

But ending is the destiny of all promotions. And with Twitch having revenue problems (IIRC) the writing was already on the wall. It was good while it lasted.

Some day it'll happen to Epic too.

It wasn't a bad idea when it was reasonably priced and had benefits that were worth it. All they have done lately is charge people more and offer less. But anyways carry on.

Can't happen soon enough tbh. They've done nothing but bleed more and more money every single year since their "platform" launched. I'm willing to bet that the one straw keeping it afloat is all the MTX in Fortnite. Because just throwing "endless" bags of money at everyone to get them to be exclusive to you isn't sustainable.

I'm surprised Twitch hasn't integrated an OF backend into their channels.

Meanwhile DJs are dealing with stupid revenue sharing because we're mixing records together on their platform like we're pirate radio or something.

I did use prime loot just the other day and it asked me to install the "Amazon Games Launcher" to which I laughed at and exited.

That's too bad.

There was a good resale market on those codes.

Haven't used Amazon for a long time, given that Argos can give me same day delivery or collection and has better prices than Amazon, all Amazon is, is just cheap Chinese tat.
