SHOWER WITH SKIBIDDI BIDEN
Still better than Furiosa, Acolyte, or the Dune retcon.
You suggest (their plan/goal) it helps bring the world together, it actually does not, its just ridiculous nonsense for most people who stay awake long enough through the hysterical violence/special effects (its so over done the sound of explosions and screams actually makes me sleepy, its just horribly out of tune death metal).
A good portion of the world just views all that stuff stupid comedy combined with terrible acting, it only gets a pass because the people look good.
I can only imagine I'd be bored with real actors trying to act something related to that universe (skibidi, it works for YT shorts as 1-3 minutes per mini episode is fine, a full 3 hour movie of that stuff would be full stupid).
It'll be popular with 10 and under most likely, its the basic formulaic hero/bad guy, changing alliances, new bad guys, new friends, old bad guys, old friends. Its not rocket science, guy just happened to be right place, right time, right memes and evolved it into its own thing.
As to the people who want to look but don't want to look, because they fear wasting their time, don't worry you are not missing anything, it won't change your life in any meaningful way. Go ahead relax, move on with your life etc.
There was sex, drugs, open relationships ... scoff lawing of all kinds ... and when the end product and intent and intended effects were explained to me ... it just got me mildly angry, but when I see TV or feature films today, I see it through a far more objective lens.
These days producers just want to press your buttons and show you crazy people on the screen, in the hopes that whatever craziness is in you will be satiated by the fantasy they throw up on both movie and TV screens.
Whatever.
It just makes me question what the popular media people think of the US Constitution. The first amendment was not put there for therapeutic purposes. It was there so that everyone could express their ideas of what was wrong. But the entertainment industry treats it as a license to create therapy media.
If you look at films from the silent era and up through the 1940s, there's a lot of outrageous behavior from all corners; Bob Hope, WC Fields, the Three Stooges and so forth, so it hasn't changed too much, but today the emphasis is really to slap the audience in the face with ideas the media elite think you, I and others need to be educated on. So they make films with a grade school level of thinking outreach, even though it has adult actors in it.
Toilets verse cyborgs or robots? Whatever.
I think of all the serious TV shows and films from the 70s and before, and a lot of them had serious tones or undercurrents to them. Now it's all about Naked and Afraid, Dancing with the Stars, Survivor junk and other sensationalism.
Anyway, I think I'm tuckered out venting on the topic. Thanks for the exchange. I need to talk to some high ups in the Federal Government, then consider whether or not to go back to either LA or SF ... I prefer SF. but we'll see.............
But as a former child I know I wanted a sponge bob movie and I got it.
Flush both of you, I'm a late-40s GenX and still enjoy toilet humor.
If you're late 40s, you're not GenX. You're GenY. You're the generation that is too old to be Millennial but too young to be GenX.
Nope, I am in fact GenX. GenY doesn't exist, according to GenZ which appropriated the Boomer Generation as their own.
