many dumb and awful games, shows and movies get made cause someone thought we needed it and they ruined it, all while older gen was far better, looking at you cartoon network and many more. and so this has happened to the Olympics it seems, like theres chess, air gun or whatever and basketball, pretty normal activities, dancing with a ribbon is pretty damn silly and childish too imo, like wtf is that?

Olympics is an event that supposed to showcase acts of highest level of athleticism if it's anything that require high level of physical traits like coordination, accuracy, strength, endurance, speed etc. (saying etc. because I have no idea what are the others).

Chess sure isn't one of them, air gun definitely requires accuracy, basketball umm... obviously, dancing with a ribbon pretty sure is an athletic sport, darts require accuracy for sure, horse shoe throw definitely requires an accuracy, crab walking definitely might require endurance, pool as in swimming? Yeah, sure.

Eating? If it's speed that matters then yes, although even if not, you need trained gut to hold a lot of food so that would count too for me, I don't know what's skeet shooting, fishing requires strength and endurance, dumpster diving requires accuracy, car wash cleaning as if who does it faster? That requires speed, so yes.

Actually, the modern olympic games were intended to be for amateur competition, it was only a few daecades ago that they became "taken over" by professional athletes/sportspersons.

NASCAR isn't a sport. Driving behind the wheel of a car doesn't make it a sport. I drove for 2 days straight with a 10 minute break yet I don't consider myself a sports car driver.

There are events out there just like that people call sports but really aren't.

It isn't about sports in general ... it is about getting modern viewers and younger viewers.

After that Last Supper insult that happened at this last Olympics they can kiss my ass before I'll ever watch them ever again. Pathetic at best.
