Got into a physical altercation.

This happened two weeks ago and to this day I still think about it. I'm angry because it was against a family member. I admit that I started it and it was over something trivial (forgetting to lock the door) but man they escalated by getting physical with me. I ended up breaking their nose and they had to go to the E.R. I'm upset and angry because I never once wanted to get into a fight. Let alone injure someone and send them to the hospital.

I want to say they shouldn't have done it in the first place but at this point who cares. It doesn't even matter if I was in the right. Being a guy SUCKS because you are always going to have people blame you EVEN if you are right. This isn't to say being a woman is better but man male loneliness is real. Literally NO ONE is going to help you if you're a guy unless you're some handsome dude or pretty boy or, with any luck, a genuine nice person actually wants to help you.

And to make things worse, I'm SKINNY than most people so it's not like people are going to take me seriously anyway. You make ONE mistake and people will blame you. This sucks ass.

Yea it was a family member and your sad that you did that but it was in self defense. If he didn't start it you wouldn't of did what you did for that end to come. So it was his fault that his nose got broken not yours. So at least use that not to feel to guilty. Let them settle down and see if he apologizes. If not be the bigger person and apologize to him in front of all who was involved if he accepts it perfect shake hands. If not then wash your hands of it, you apologized that is what counts then no longer feel guilty about it.

Why would the family member flip out over something like not locking a door. To me it seemed like the family member was looking for anything no matter how small to flip out on the op. So yes the family member started it cause he was looking for confrontation the fact that the op put him in his place is moot.
