I have heard similar but far better regarding Death Note.
Also has there been an Appleseed or NInja Scroll attempt?
The Space Battleship Yamato movie was disappointing.
The live action Ace Attorney movie was decent.
The Rose of Versailles: Oscar movie is widely regarded as being low effort junk, but the stage play is still a classic.
Maybe one of the Barefoot Gen and Grave of the Fireflies live action adaptations, but they would certainly destroy me.
Jesus, they made those?
The exception would be the Resident Evil stage plays. I mostly only visit St. Cloud Minnesota as an end point or starting point for canoe trips, but it's cool that Rebecca Chambers got caught up in a biohazard incident there (that was presumably unrelated to a holiday lutfisk supper gone wrong).
It has heart. . . . only true fans will get that reference.
I've seen clips of 'Your lie in April' live action, it seems interesting and carries the feels.
Liar Game.
