I miss when LucasArts put out 10 Star Wars games a year. Now we barely get one since Disney bought them.

And then Disney gave Electronic Arts the exclusive rights to Star Wars games.

Two evils do not a good game make. And now we get Ubisoft.

Maybe if they added Bank of America in there somewhere we'd finally get a good Star Wars game.

We get zero. Because Disneywars is NOT Star Wars.

There are six movies and the EU. Star Wars ended in 2012. Everything the demon mouse scum had a hand in is noncanon bad fanfiction that is inferior even to the Glove of Darth Vader series and the Holiday Special.

Wait until Disney buys Paramount and CBS. We'll finally have the Star Wars / Star Trek crossover nobody asked for.

Another battlefront game could be nice

I mean, we got nine or so video games based on episode 1... Classic.

Only 2 that I recall.
Episode 1 the game and Jedi Power Battles.

Starfighter and Podracer don't count.

Why? They where shovelwhere titles prior to a lackluster movie.

At least they gave us KotOR 1+2 and those are the most important ones.

Also pre-Disney, they took a lot of risks. like that game for the Xbox 360 kinnect where it had those different mini-games. sure it wasn't great but it was different from your standard FPS/Flight sim game.

Now every game follows the "uncharted" model and is so milqtoast and safe. it really has become a toothless and insipid platitude so bland as to be essentially meaningless.

but in that heep, there would be that one good one that made it worth it. Now we just get one game and if it sucks, too bad, that will be $70 plus tip.

Depends. Disney's soul sucking power mostly comes from them trying to use games as vehicles to push their movie sales. Marvel's Avengers was clearly based on the marvel cinematic universe. Marvel vs Capcom fell off as well because they had to start basing the Marvel characters off the marvel cinematic universe as well. Kingdom Hearts 3 was just full of the Disney movies being told in short form to sell those movie franchises.

On the other hand, Jedi Survivor & Fallen Order were not vehicles just to sell some specific movie in the Star Wars verse. No crippling Disney influence there.

I can’t say I remember that many star wars games from that era so perhaps the quality of most of those games was not particular good?

Would Spock's head explode when he sees Chewbacca like the jury in Southpark?
