The items were the Smothered Burrito and the XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito. They were both great. Then Taco Bell murdered them.
I remember that XXL burrito - it was good big eating and not overpriced like many of their items have become. Sigh.
Sometimes I get hot sauce in my food without asking for it.
Their freezes seem engineered to cause brain freeze.
Last time I went I put in an order for baja blast and when I got there they were out. I got a pepsi as a replacement, but it tastes watered down and diet.
Not sure if I want to keep going there.
Also usually makes me feel sick. Might just be the sodium, idk.
The crew determines how well your food is made. There are some fastfood joints I never go to because their crews suck.
The chalupa box will likely be coming back (that was a good one too). It seems they rotate various $5 box deals depending on whatever whimsical suits at corporate decide.
A real good and tasty deal I'm waiting to come back is the Nachos Grande Box. That thing is loaded full and easy for them to make for 5 bucks.
Baja Blast tastes like an adult beverage mixed cocktail - minus the booze. Smells and looks kinda like a speedstick deodorant but I don't mind. Tastes decent.
Every time. It is the most consistent fact related to Taco Bell. I can only assume they are trained to do that on purpose, at this point.
Or, better yet, grab del taco.
lol - That is absolutely true Clavicus!
My MO when going through drive-thrus (as that is the safer way nowadays) is:
a) keep it very, very simple
b) avoid customizing your order
c) never place more than one order per vehicle
d) and for the love of gawd, NEVER complain/get angry at the people who serve you food
Hey, I get it. I was a kid once ages ago too. I've worked fastfood places before. I would show up half asleep/drunk/etc. and go through the motions for sub-human wages. Does that excuse negligence? No. But I can understand why the workers aren't keen to give 100%.
They are also discontinuing pico de gallo (sorry). Just diced tomatoes now.
Okay... Now I'm mad. I sure do bet those pennies worth of onion and cilantro are really gonna save the day.
I don't eat there a lot. Mostly because it's not great. But the only reason I would ever go there was to get two fresco soft tacos.
Well I tell you what Mr Taco Bell. You definitely made my decision for me. And yet one more guilty pleasure for me goes out the window.
Valid point. It is truly junk food. But it is relevant for folks that occasionally want to eat some semi-tasty grub on-the-fly.
Sometimes people crave junk food though. Hence Snickers really satisfy.
It's funny the COO offers people the consolation prize justification that all the mexican pizza cardboard trash won't be filling up landfills anymore. As if people care about that smaller waste versus all the toxic crap that corporations dump without anybody flinching.
I prefer the restaurant (or vendor cart) more authentic Mexican food but it's not always an option vs. Taco Bells being all over the place and open late too.
You are correct though about price. Fast food places have been increasing their prices and gouging people a lot nowadays. Unless you get something from their "deals" menu which frequently ends up being less tasty, less filling, and just less.
