They don't pay it back, they kick it down the line for others to deal with later. Though later is becoming sooner, at this rate.
That's only viable if the majority of people realize what's wrong and have the correct solution to it. Do you REALLY think that's how it is? I don't.
How about if you could just not pay it back, and let your kids or grandkids do it, regardless of if they like it or not? For bonus points, you don't even need to sit them down and tell them about the debt that you stuck them with, good times!

Yep. You are correct. But not today, or tomorrow. Given the knowledge that's freely available on what our debt is, you'd think people would be less inclined to clamor for lockdowns, businesses being unable to open/operate at 100% capacity, and stimulus checks. But then again...if they were thinking that way, I suppose we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.
I'd recommend a gaming PC.
Then consider what do you need the laptop for - gaming or work purpose, etc?
You ideally want a solid state drive and high-end graphics card in it. Laptops don't have much upgrade path and future proofing compared to a desktop, so ensure you get a good CPU too.
Should is selective, as it also depends on what you are getting and why.
We currently have the new AMD Zen 3 CPU and Nvidia RTX 30xx series tech coming out. Intel will be soon too with the 11th Gen. I would suggest holding back a bit at the current time, but keeping an eye on it.
Near the end of the year, you have new tech launches and then again in 2021 some will be yet to come. It's a bit early on the purchasing right now, as it will be replaced with a newer gen most likely for similar or slightly higher costs. You could also get a discount on the older gen, if desired.
like he said
but loaning money is never worth it just my opinion you bleed dry on the long run.
I had a laptop fail not much you can do for replacement parts and it was over a year old and hardly ever used. You are lucky if it is one of two things storage drive fail or bad ram. This one had bad ram so an easy fix.
I bought all in one PC for deskstop failed within five days same deal as laptop not much you can do parts wise. Returned for a full refund.
Both Lonovo products.
Customs desktops are better even with pre-builds still the same as a home builds easy to swap everything in and out. Yeah gaming PC for longevity and ease for replacement parts.
If you're not using the portability very much or at all , don't buy a laptop.
Oh, it's not coming on debt...
Its not going to happen this let pretend system has been refined for thousands of years its second nature now.
stimulus checks exist on purpose: they are needed to make cash move to prevent economic activity from stopping.
if there was no checks at all, some companies would be closed just because of 1-5 year crisis, which is not a really long term.
also they help people who need money to buy necessary things like food and masks, so they have something to live on
Because if you spend $3,000 on a gaming laptop that will become obsolete in 2 years time. You could have just spent $3,000 on a quality desktop PC and simply upgrade the parts as needed.
Take for example the people who just spent a couple hundred dollars on the RTX 2000 series video cards and now the RTX 3000 series cards were released just this year. The RTX 2000 series was only just released in 2018. So anyone who bought a gaming laptop with an RTX 2000 series card basically wasted money because it's already outdated. Still a great card. I'm still using a 1080Ti and feel no reason to upgrade. But the point is that with a gaming desktop, you can upgrade it whenever you want. You can't do that with a gaming laptop. Even the gaming laptops that have modular GPUs. You can't upgrade the CPU or motherboard.
So you're basically stuck with what you get. So in a couple years time, your gaming laptop would be completely outdated.
PC assembly is a lot like working on a car, it's going to need new parts every now and then if it's going to stay in top shape. You can't do that with Laptops, you're restricted to buying a new one and throwing the old one out.
Yes they could just buy a nice prebuild for 3k and swap out if and when needed.
