Will Ubisoft listen to the outcry and cancel Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Absolutely not.

Imagine caring this much about a game you won't play.

This petition is the solid evidence that gamers (a good portion of them, at least) have become crybabies. Don't like a game? Don't buy it, simple as that.
Stop it, you are being too level headed and reasonable. That is not how we behave around here.

Imagine failing to realize that Wikipedia is actually usable now, and has no more major issues with no credibility.
LOL.
Almost all of the sources used for Yasuke's page originate from Thomas Lockley who edited wikipedia to promote his own book. A guy who admitted to having no evidence for much of his book's content.
https://youtu.be/MFbL9pf08ec
He has since been delisted from Nihonggo university's staff list, deleted all his social media accounts, and went into hiding.

Yes, Yasuke existed, but imagine taking 13 sentences of actual historical accounts from primary sources and stretching it into a 480 page book. Nevermind making claims that Yasuke was gay.
It's all speculative nonsense being pushed as historical fact.

This entire controversity perfectly highlights why Wikipedia is a terrible source.

It's more than just about a game. It is historical revisionism. As someone who cares about the integrity of bodies of human knowledge, I will never ever tolerate history being misrepresented.

Sounds like the problem is the author of the book, not the game set in a fictional universe.

Ever seen the movie The Last Samurai?

What about The Last Temptation of Christ?

You know this is common story-telling practice, right?

But Gen Z: OMG TEH TRU!

All of them were controversial on release. Also none of them were pushing that it was all based on historical fact. Unlike Ubisoft.
I see no wikipedia pages about an american soldier going to japan, being captured, going native, and then directly contributing to a rebellion during the Meiji restoration period.

Do you even know what the games are about? Based on historical fact doesn't mean historical fact. It means fiction with a basis in history.

THat doesn't make any sense.
Sorry.
But Wikipedia is not that bad.
And it's laughable to claim that it's bad now compared to what it was.

Or that the author somehow edited it.
I need a lot more evidence than you and a random Youtube video.
You better provide a ton of sources.

Especially ignoring the changes on Wikiepedia that make it a thousand times better than what it is.
Good grief.

Sure, maybe him being removed from the University staff list proves he's not the best guy, but still.

I also assume you didn't mean an American soldier for this guy.
Since America didn't exist at the time of Nobunaga's reign.
I guess you were talking about The Last Samurai there.
Which honestly is the least weirdest movie Tom Cruise has been in.

Revisionism is fiction, but fiction isn't revisionism. Sorry you're confused.
