Socialism and capitalism are both coexisting in modern societies.
This is impossible, they are fundamentally different.

What you are looking for is what currently exists as "Social democracy". They have nothing to do with socialism as oppsoed to "democratic socialism" which does.

As stated by mrnewell123, scandinavia is very well into social democracy. Western europe generally has a lot in place to protect workers and keep capitalism in balance. But its far from the "Nordic model", a term worth googleing if you are interested.
Picking a country is very difficult, too much goes into it.

I went back to the Wikipedia entry for social democracy and it seems to have a lot to do with socialism still, unlike what you are telling me.

Non.

Because it does not work.

Is not wanted by the people.

Is completely unnatural.

Has always failed in the past.
The bloody double think ...

- "they always have failed because they are destined to"
- "WE MUST FUND ANY MEANS NECESSARY TO TOPPLE THEM OR THEY WILL SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

-"it is not wanted by the people"
-"CRACK DOWN THOSE UNIONIST WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE AND SMEAR THEM FAMILIES !!!"

(...)Egalitarianism is the theory of social equality.
This stuff matters for proper discussion.

Social equality in the manner described is nothing but communism as it can not be reached without communism.

I lived in a social country so did my family. NEVER again.

Its always hilarious how some inexperienced western kids online, want to tell me how amazing socialism, communism and their so called egalitarianism apparently is, without even realising that the way they talk and what they ask for, is always the same as every socialist dictatorship has started.

Live a few more decades on this planet, then we can talk again young padawan.

1) your post has nothing to do with mine and does NOT respond to it in any way shape or form.
2) you just dodged the critic about double think. Care to explain why the Marshall Plan and the psy-op on the whole of the US by the FBI in a world where "commies are dumbs and are destined to fail" ?
3) "i lived in a social country so did my family" says the guy that changes name every three days; votes AfD; prone eugenics; prone gun availability for "self defense"; has an ukrainian wife and is irked by her isntagram getting more followers.
"some inexperienced western kind online" says the guy that refuses to get vaxxed to get a green card and tries to impose guna vailability in Finland ... and getting rights like voting and defending himself because "Schengen area" => how and why can you NOT understand that europe is not a federal union like the US and the countries are NOT akin to US States.
You sure you have any credibility left in you as a forum poster ?

Answer the second point at least ? You seems to like to type, so type away. Explain my how Communism and Socialism are so weak and so strong at the same time. If you can do it on while laying on a piano with a rose between the teeths and naked, i'll applaude with both hands for the performance. Pinky promise.

The terminology is very confusing.
Chech the wikipedia for "socialism". It will mostly talk about economics. No private ownership ect.
Centralised or decentralised ownership of "means of production". Either by state or the society itself.
"Socialism", being clear here, only this very word MUST include that definition, otherwise its not socialism. The terms social or socialistic dont have to include that.

Social democracies embrace capitalism. But the goverment either owns parts of the economy or heavily regulates them.
In the USA the goverment owns pretty much nothing. Nor do the people own something collectivly.
Countries with free education or healthcare own those institutions as a collective. Which has socialistic tendencys, but they are still under capitalistic economies as everyone has to pay for it via taxes or other means.

If you google the term "democratic socialism" you will find that this form of government rejects capitalism entirely, which is by definition the core of what socialism is.
This form does only exist in a scientific theory.

I do own alot of books regarding this stuff. Thousand of pages.
Only idiots, like me, actually read the capital by Marx.
The communist manifest would be a short and easy read to understand why this stuff even exists. If you understand the book you wills find out why they were wrong without having to look deeper into it.
The book is the recipie for states that failed like russia, china and north korea among litteraly every other state that tried go this route.
This is why im very stubborn about terminology on the subjevt.

Short form: the idea was to create a better world though establishing a dictatorship via violence. The dictaorship then was supposed to dictate socialism and destroying itself through the process. Communism, which is a subform of socialism, seeks abandone the state and let people live on their own.
They all got stuck in the dictatorship because surprise, any system wants to preserve itself.

Contrary to Socalism and Capitalism cohabitating on the same planet, here, both can be true. Do not forget that the Department of Agriculture and the Forest Managment need lots of lands for just ... kinda "safekeeping" really, and was it the Nevada that has a lot of radioactive holes in it ? Bunch of other examples in that vein when you dig for them. But if you look at regulations and legislations around the Industry, Transports, Food safety - you name it, of any EU and the US you'll see lots of divergences.

Might have been terribly phrased by me. Compared to more socialistic governments.
The USA has a much bigger entrepreneur spirit than other countries.
In europe people expect the state to care for them, in the USA people tend to fix a problem by recognising the opportunity, make a bussines out of it and fix it that way.

Thats at least my impression, feel free to correct me.

I think that's certainly a pretty romantic perspective of American society.
"Socialist utopia" is one hell of an oxymoron.
oldirty` 9 lipca 2024 o 11:38
I take that, better than an ignorant perspective. But I hope the core is at least somewhat correct.
Creating a business in switzerland is very very difficult, its easier in the US and there is a different spirit around it as far as I know.
