Spain's actions.
An interesting topic it is about how Spain helps and sometimes hinders people who are not from its own land.

I will start off with an article posted very recently on Sky News UK.
This one is about tourism in Spain, despite it being a 'go to ' place for many holiday makers the Spanish seem to be upset by all the attention now.
Rising costs of rent and water shortages means those coming to visit may not be welcomed.

If this was done in the UK the police would be straight onto the protesters and will probably be trying to file them under hate crime.
the press would be screaming and singling people out as the rise of the third Reich reborn and generally people would not be celebrated for it.
Different countries have different ways.
And being totally honest the UK response to people squirting others with water would be way over heavy handed.

If I landed in Spain and got a dose of cold water, I'd be thinking they were welcoming me and would get a water pistol and join in on the fun.

(in the UK the shops and chains love it because they can hike prices up and people will still by the junk).

Didnt people in the UK throw milkshakes at each other?

Is this a particular incident involving lots of people?
Or the Farage one?
Or just Brits out on a weekend / going home from school?
Still pissed about some rock?
Just so you know even countries like Portugal are starting to reject German tourists because they are disrespectfull and leave their garbage where they go.
edited it might not be funny to the Germans.

Should have seen Spain last year in the middle of a summer heatwave, their reservoirs dried up so much so an ancient church was discovered at the bottom. Spain has a lot of problems to deal with where water is concerned, i can understand why they want the tourists gone, it's a huge strain on their ability to get clean water to their people.

This is only going to get worse the longer it goes on though. pretty soon every one of those reservoirs will dry up and Spain will be looking to other countries to buy water from before the heatwave really comes down.

The situation in the UK is going the same way, too many people in the country, not enough water, last year was brutal in the UK, some wildfires started up spontaneously because everything was so dry and hot. The UK doesn't get wildfires yet it happened. The reservoirs also got critically low as well at one point.

A combination of too many humans breeding out of control and human induced climate change.

Yeah, that was in Catalonia, where I live. We had water restrictions, and many places had to receive bottled water because tap water was no longer OK to drink.

It almost felt like 1996's drough.

We're slowly recovering now :).

As for tourism in Spain, what you say it's all good and all, but what you don't see is when tourists become violent to us, throw trash everywhere, get drunk and yell very late in the night through the whole week, etc.
I've been yelled at by tourists from everywhere, and trash talked in english because they thought I couldn't understand them.

Tourists who are nice are treated in a nice way.

If you come here to be an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then sorry, but you're not welcome, not here, not anywhere.
