When you eat fries, how do you apply your condiments, if any?

it depends how I eat it...

first WHAT : my mayonaise ans sometimes the satehsauce (peanutsauce)
but I am also perfectly fine with fries just plain with salt..

people who put catsup on fries are insane, do that here and you get covered in pitch and feathers and chased by mobs with torches and pitchforks.

mcD here serves them with some disgusting yellow sauce (likely mayonaise, mustard, cumin and pickles mixed or something like that) thats sold here in stores as "american sauce" some love it I really really hate it.

ofcourse I like my fries nice and thick (flemish fries) or close to what you call steakfries.. I want to taste that potato..

french fries.. no thank you.. I rather eat my potatoes boiled than that crappy stuff.

now as for how to APPLY the condiment.. well how is it served??

in a restaurant.. or at home I will just place a helping on my plate than dip my fries into it.. and I prefered to put it myself on my plate so put the squirtbottle on the table or give me if thats not restaurant chique a small bowl with a spoon I can take some from and place it at my plate.

if a more humble abode a snackbar.. but I still have time to sit.. well some placwe have what we call frietbakjes.. little white plastic things you scoop the fires in than hand it out
2 variants excist.. ones with only one big rectangulair bowl. you will fill with fries than pump the sauce on top. and ones with a large and a small section, seperated by a middle wall..
-> I prefer that one.. the sauce is pumped in that small one than you scoop the fries on top in the large one and some on top of it all.. yeah that usually means you have to eat some without sauce before you can start dipping but it is prefered over messy fingers..

we also have a puntzak.. some sort of paper cone.. thats ideal to eat fries standing or walking.. usually it is sold like that at festifals or at railroadstations and such.
you have no option but to get sauce on top with them but they give you a little plastic fork so you can eat without making your fingers messy ofcourse... that won't help once you eat the fries at the bottom.. by than you have no sauce on them while the tiny fork won't prevent your hands having to dig in so deep you still get sauce on your hands.. needless to say.. with a paper cone I say : no sauce please, just double helping of salt.

**the more recent loaded fries madness.. no ty... even a kapsalon (the original loaded fries) I don't like with fries.. but only with baked potato or rice as base.

We get these for the air fryer, but someone in my family is quite difficult, i swear these fries are fire i don't get my family sometimes.
