DEI have existed for ages, even back in the 80´s we had DEI projects in our HR departments here.. The issue is that in the US DEI is implemented poorly and is more about specific (that means favourtism) of a very narrow sided representation of people where it is about ticking a box, rather than implemented a story that makes them organic.
Diversity is many things, its not just ethnicity or "the American boxing way, with colours of skintone" it is much broader and deeper than that.
Woke is something completely different, its an old terminology and its about being aware of ie. injustice in society.. I dare say that it has a huge focus on socio-economical standards and division and that is something most games now a day never features (wonder why) they instead focus on division due to said above boxed terminologies.
I can´t see why this game is woke, I can see that it has some DEI markers.
