Bacteria breeds in warm moist locations.
Imagine boiling hot water from a Poseidon's Kiss. uh.. no comment.
Then if no one cares, why are you saying it?
Perhaps obsessed about toilets and faeces? who knows.
Also, ceramic conducts heat, so even if the water is 100°C, the ceramic further away will feel more like 30-60°C. Bacteria will thrive more at those temperatures than at 0-10°C.
