Why don’t other countries copy Switzerland?
It seems like Switzerland is one of the most successful countries despite its lack of sea access and being surrounded by bigger countries.

It manage to pay signficantly higher salaries than other european countries or even USA, have pretty good work life balance, one of worlds highest life expectancies, low taxes, very little poverty and so on. Like seems to do very well in like every area.

Original country do not steal
geography, probably.
If your goods can't sell as expensive as theirs, not much point trying.
The corporate thieves needed a place to hide money.
It became the agreed upon "neutral" country for the most wicked greedy people on earth.
So it's a safe place everyone has guns.

As someone who works in Switzerland a lot and calls it my second home by now.

I can tell you that the answer is pretty simple!

" Copying " or learning from Switzerland and applying their way, would mean for other governments to give up a very big chunk of their power into the hands of their population!

They would not only have to accept DIRECT democracy as in direct referendums for relevant topics, but also allow citizens to keep firearms at home, act as a neutral government making neutral geo-politics and massively lowering the taxes and mandatory " taxes ".

But a country like lets say Germany, won't leave EU and NATO in order to " de-centralize ", they also won't implement a direct democracy with direct referendi, nor will they allow people easy access to firearms and lower the taxes, because all of this would mean they lose a big chunk of power and would have to actually do what the people want.

These are the only reasons why other countries won't " copy " Switzerland. They can't do that without giving up power and also pi**ing some influential people off.
Switzerland copywrote itself.
Switzerland is also a pacifist yet having a formidable military.

A bit of a misnomer, the main reason there's such high gun ownership in Switzerland is because most people choose to keep their guns after service, and military service is mandatory for all adult males. Ease of gun ownership here might be very liberal by European standards, but compared to the US the actual rights in regards to firearms isn't even close to as rigorous and defined.

I wouldn't say that the reason Switzerland is safe is because of the guns, though. But it does at least prove that the presence of guns is not an inherent cause of gun violence.

No I meant to say it is a safe place due to the greediest corporations agreeing to hide money there.

And most people have guns.

Meaning people having guns is not inherently a bad thing as people can live in peace and have guns.

I find it humorous how europeans often claim America has issues because people have guns. So it is funny.

I suppose I should have worded that a bit differently though.

So it's a safe place and everyone has guns. or So it's a safe place in spite of everyone having guns.

Or something like that.

Oh, that makes more sense. Yeah, I thought you meant it was safe because of all the guns, that's my mistake.
Not every country can be a tax haven.

Switzerland is not a " tax heaven ". Especially since depending of the " canton " (state/municipality), Switzerland has quite differeing taxes.

Switzerland is just not a socialist utopia as you would wish it to be my communist friend.
Switzerland copywrote German weapons. So clever; now they can't use them legally.
People have a pretty bad sense of scale and political structure. You can't compare Switzerland to the U.S.A. as a whole any more than you can compare the state of New York to the European Union as a whole...

The U.S.A. lets its citizens keep their guns at home though.
