What is going on with Sweet Baby inc and Wukong game?

So I got hinted about something, or drama about all this? I’m too lazy to google it. Can someone give me a quick story of what this is all about?

I don’t even know what Sweet Baby inc is until I heard this name now lol!

Nothing. There was a rumour about SBI trying to extort/intimidate the devs of the game into accepting their services, but that was proven to be false. It was initially perpetuated by some random Chinese user on a Chinese website iirc and picked up by someone outside of China on Twitter.

Even so, it’s sbi Incs job to extort money with threats of hit piece articles from gaming sites. So they may or may not of threatened wukong (I’m inclined to believe they did what with the many hit pieces journalists write about it) but it is how they profit as a company anyways

Anyone who is fine with consulting companies using blackmail and extortion to get what they want are strange people in my book. What difference is it which game it is they blackmail? They should not exist either way

I'm not saying Wukong inc was extorted, because I don't know, but you have to realize that when somebody is under threat of extortion, they're not going to necessarily want everybody to know, for fear that may cause the extortionist may execute their threat. The victim of extortion may only admit to it only once circumstances lift the threat or after the damage has been done and the extortionist has no further leverage.
