I have noticed a trend were less and less men will step in to help a woman in need/distress and are simply turning a blind eye or walking away. It's getting even more so these days with especially on social media such as tik tok were a lone female is being harassed, attacked, rob etc and guys are just standing around minding their own business like nothing is happening (seen so many video's of this happening).

I have known situations were a good samaritan has gotten involved because he through it was the right thing to do and by doing so he himself has come under attack, been injured, been arrested or even killed.

It's really a tough call these days, on one hand as a man your expected to step up to the plate and on the other hand, your seen as toxic masculinity by the very people your trying to defend.

I personally seen many domestics between a man and his women on my daily commute but I simply turn a blind eye because I know from experience how deadly a domestic dispute can turn.. with both parties turning on you because in the end, the female partner will always defend her man.

I watched this video were one crazy guy was harassing this one woman on the subway and grabbing her hair and she looked pretty scared but the guys just stood around saying and doing nothing while someone else was filming it.

I can only guess, if your killed or made disabled, you will get no thanks and the killer will mostly likely only spend a few years behind bars while the person your defending will simply forget you in one week. While you and family are the ones left suffering.

Women have made it clear they can look after themselves and pull their own weight. So they can defend themselves as they wish it.

This is their choice these days.

Plus the guy attacking is prepared and has intent, the victim is clueless of what's going on and normally freezes shifting the balance 90% in favor of the attacker

Why should we?

1 First of all, we have equality! Don't feminists preach that "whatever men do, women can do better"? Why don't they protect us once or twice, for change's sake and stuff?

2 How dare we assume they need our help, much less anything at all from us? Intruding or prying upon other people's matters is rude, especially when it is a lady and the affair is personal. We should respect them, "they are strong and independent individuals".

3 Most of them hate men with passion and want to destroy both the system and the status quo, preaching day and nigh against "evil Patriarchy". Depriving them of safe space and independence, only serves to make us even more bitter, hostile, contemptible to them.

Last but not least, we do not know of the circumstances. I myself have entered a number of relationships, that the western woman i had been with, treated me not only poorly but badly all the way in, regularly insulted me both verbally and with innuendos (insulting my intelligence), one or two even raised their hand to hit me on occasions. Our fellow man might be a bad person, but he could be a victim as well; how would he feel, if on top of the maltreatment of the woman that frustrated him, we also interfere to reprimand him, or worse?

Have some consideration, instead! And always keep in mind, that action breeds reaction and so on. The most we can do, is turn tail and leave, washing our hands and consciousness clean, in order to avert some bigger misunderstanding or potential tragedy. WE. HAVE. EQUALITY. Nobody needs protection. Individuals protect own self, period.

The predictable consequences of hostile actions and attitudes towards men over many years playing out. Feminists claim men don't listen to or respect women. The women say they don't need a man, so men listened, and now don't volunteer to assist them even if they appear to be in need. Got to respect their wishes.

This kind of reaction finally became mainstream when men were being attacked by women for courteous acts such as simply holding a door open for them (I see even guys here have experienced that). Ungrateful people who don't appreciate good things will eventually cause those good things to disappear. "Chivalry is dead and women killed it" isn't just a joke anymore, more like a fulfilled prophecy. Stupid laws aren't helping either.

On your last point OP, I've actually heard more than a few accounts from men who helped a woman being attacked, saved her, only to not even get a thank you from that woman, while they live the rest of their life with crippling lifelong injuries and huge medical bills from things such as stabbings, broken bones, and gunshot wounds. As already mentioned, some of the women even turned on their would-be saviors because they saw them as merely a means to reenter the good graces of their abusers. Some of these experiences were actually really sad to hear.

It's just not worth it anymore. You can only spit in the face of men for so long before men walk away from it all. But I'm not sure radical feminists will even learn that what they do doesn't actually help women. I've seen vids such as a black woman walking around punching men in their face, knocking their glasses off, then being punched back by a black man and the woman looks around at all the men asking "Y'all ain't even gon do nuttin?". Meanwhile that same woman has videos on her social media page talking about how men are nothing, she's strong as any man, and doesn't ever need one. Hypocrisy with 0 self-awareness.

Plus the double-standard of seeing simps immediately running in droves to the rescue of a woman in apparent distress at the hands of a man (clearly hoping to get laid for their efforts), yet no one lifting a finger to help a man being abused by a woman in public or even joining in and laughing at/filming the guy instead got old. All women will now suffer for the actions of the rotten ones, but that's also a result of women not checking other women on their behavior. In an ideal world masculine men could act on our natural instincts to help anyone in need, man or woman, but when doing so for women often leads to punishment or assisting someone who despises you we have to stop and assess if the risk is even worth it.
