Men no longer stepping up and defending women...
I have noticed a trend were less and less men will step in to help a woman in need/distress and are simply turning a blind eye or walking away. It's getting even more so these days with especially on social media such as tik tok were a lone female is being harassed, attacked, rob etc and guys are just standing around minding their own business like nothing is happening (seen so many video's of this happening).

I have known situations were a good samaritan has gotten involved because he through it was the right thing to do and by doing so he himself has come under attack, been injured, been arrested or even killed.

It's really a tough call these days, on one hand as a man your expected to step up to the plate and on the other hand, your seen as toxic masculinity by the very people your trying to defend.

I personally seen many domestics between a man and his women on my daily commute but I simply turn a blind eye because I know from experience how deadly a domestic dispute can turn.. with both parties turning on you because in the end, the female partner will always defend her man.

I watched this video were one crazy guy was harassing this one woman on the subway and grabbing her hair and she looked pretty scared but the guys just stood around saying and doing nothing while someone else was filming it.

I can only guess, if your killed or made disabled, you will get no thanks and the killer will mostly likely only spend a few years behind bars while the person your defending will simply forget you in one week. While you and family are the ones left suffering.

Quite honestly but I don't even make a difference in gender in this regard.

If someone is being robbed or attacked and needs help then I am helping, no matter if woman or man or whatever.

I did numerous times and I have not once encountered anyone saying something about " toxic masculinity " after being helped out of a terrible situation...

I think you watched too much nonsense online here.

Im glad there still people like you who would defend the helpless. Most of us including myself wouldn't step up for some random stranger (well I think I wouldn't). Don't get me wrong, I would 100% defend my own family but for some random person, I really would need to think twice and weight the risks vs rewards of getting involved.

Im too old now to be worrying about people I don't know. If I die or go jail for helping someone, it would mean my own family would break up and fall apart and what would happen to my kids future, things like this always play on my mind.

As for watching nonsense online, your correct... to much crap online that can screw with your mind but I have also seen it happen with my own eyes. The moral here, just be careful out there on them mean streets.

Your first mistake is to be looking for some " rewards " and thinking there is the time to think about a decision.

All I see in your text is poor excuses and you justifying yourself not stepping up for other people, being ignorant.

When I see for example a woman being cornered in some bush by numerous men, then I am going to aggressively interfere OR if there is time, at least call the Police.

There are many situations in which you need to react and not think, often in a brutal and aggressive manner.

It's modern feminism, MGTOW, and the modern dating culture

A couple of months ago, I had a date lecturing me for opening the car door for her, so i simply closed it again and left.

Well you shown yourself to be a chauvinist in her eyes even tho your believed it was the right thing to do at the time, which it was.

I have opened doors for women work colleagues in the past and been told the same BS by them. Sometimes your just there and its polite and courteous to leave or open the door for people regardless of gender.

So what happen after the event, did you ever speak to her again ?? just interested.

So what? Let them talk and dont hold door open anymore for them. Simple.

There are still plenty of women and people in general, that appreciate this.

What you are having a problem is with delusional people who suffer mental illnesses and are pushing their mental illnesses to be accepted in society to a level, expecing society to change FOR them rather than them getting treatment.

This issue is solving itself right now. More and more.

But this only works if you DONT give up to support and act " normal " towards " normal " people.

Simple.

If you let twisted people alter your normal behaviour, then they reached exactly what they wanted to reach.

In my experience most women don't want help. It's a very weird mentality but I give them what they want and leave them alone.

In my experience, most women do want help and appreciate helpful people. Same goes for men by the way.

Sometimes you need to think before jumping in, not only for your own safely but everyone else's and the consequences of your actions.

A quote, don't know how exactly it goes, „treat others how you wish to be treated“ comes to mind.

When I was in school, the topic of crowds of people watching people get murdered in public came up multiple times. One park in my state, a guy beat a women to death with a pipe in the daytime. Apparently 40 people just stood there and watched. That was like 40 years ago.

Granted, that one is not from school, just something family told me. So I don't have specifics or credibility.
