Instagram followers, its ridiculous.

Basically, I started to become a food and travel blogger. I upload really nice photos and clips of food I cook, experience and places I visit, real nice stuff, good to look at.

Despite me boosting (advertising) numerous images and having apparently reached over 5000 accounts, I only havr 24 followers.

Then I look at my wife's profile, who only uploaded like 5 photos, of herself randomly sitting somewhere or moving here hands or what not, and she got over 1000 followers in just a few days, numerous comments and likes.

Can someone exploain to me what the hell is going on ?
Its hard for me to express myself here, without saying insulting things about the community on Instagram.


So we are just gonna ignore the artist who puts sweat and focus into his arts and focus on the chick that uploads some average photos of herself ?


Now here comes the weirdest part. I would get it if her followers would all be some hungry simps, but this isn't even the case !! Its mostly other girls that post the same " trash " as herself.


Can someone help me out here and educate me ? I think I am too much of a boomer to understand this.

That's it then. People have the attention span of a gnat these days. Shorts are so popular even youtube bought in on it. People these days just like seeing snippets of info, quick cuts, hella editing and filters.

My cooking vids are already only 40 seconds, speeded up.... I have no idea what to do different and improve.

People will actively advertise to "like for a like" and push each others stuff to the front while the average guy never has their stuff seen buried by dumb stuff.

And people who do that invariably post the most inane stuff just because they "need" to upload anything so they can move on to the next game screenshot upload.
