Being from New Zealand and therefore a Kiwi, we love to use and sound out the letter "U" which Americans can't seem to be able to do and therefore avoid completely. Sometimes however we add it in more, with the letter "a", etc. It's more on the British side, yet we have a mix of American and British in our accent.
For words such as Canada... we would break it apart Can-a-da and then make that "a" sounds more like "uh". So just a slight more "u" sound to it.
Breaking it down more into sounding it out: Ka - Nuh - Duh
