Yes it is, but it is also more common than some people think, it is not just top 1% that is better of in USA than Europe.

depends on the business being done, I'd say.

I say at about $100k salary you probably better of in terms of finances in USA than in Sweden but it also depend on location as some are more expensive than others and also family and health situation and also debt.

About 20% or something americans earn $100k or more.

Yes, but I made it clear that was not the topic I was discussing. I was talking about Europeans actually pulling down civilizations. I made that clear with the qualifier BUT IF, which you so conveniently ignored so you could get an argument.

By the time Europeans arrived on the North American continent, civilization had ALREADY collapsed 200 years earlier. Those that were left were the descendants of the survivors, and they had abandoned their great cities already. At one point the Mississippi plains hosted some of the largest cities in the world.

Those were long gone by the time white folk arrived.

For the swedish numbers I use sites that caculate employment cost based on salary, which give like 60% cost above the salary so I remove that and then run the salary in a tax caculator.

For USA I don't know their system as well so I mostly just quickly search what post tax $100k salary would be. Now I've not added hidden cost to the USA salary like I did for the swedish one and in such case the gap may be smaller.
