Long story short. Expect the best and prepare for the worst.
Everyone is, because no on lives forever.
Things are always getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥' worse, and that's just how it goes. Everything sure does start out pretty good, and from there it's all downhill. People take a good idea ~ ruin it.
The passionate people in this world are always overruled by the majority, who love money, greed, and pride.
There is a theory that depressed people see things more realistically. Called depressive realism. I can understand that, it seems common for people to uphold these illusions which allows them to keep going.
I'd call that closer to pessimism than realism. Assuming things will go wrong because everything sucks at the moment is a natural defense mechanism to make the pain of depression less painful.
You mean what the guy above me said? I don't read it as "everything will go wrong", more like everything will fall apart over time.
