From what I understand, the way this works is that only the ones that bought the more expensive $110 version can get the Debut Season Pass that will unlock Jabba as gameplay content of any sort during ... some amount of time.
"No dolla, no Jabba..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-Y6YfDBmh8
At least, as I've understood the various commentary on Reddit/et al on this issue. So, there's some kind of lockout period there, at least according to testimony, for those who didn't fork over the big money. I haven't looked any further than that for more info because insulting Ubisoft makes me feel warm and secure, inside. It's just "right to do" and is part of my needs for self-actualization...
People are assuming it's a "pay gate", yet it's a "season pass".
Season passes are a collection of DLC (downloadable content), which would otherwise likely still be sold separately.
If you don't want to purchase the "season pass" and just want that Jabba additonal DLC content, why not buy it separate? Either way, it's not a requirement of the base game.
So all they are really complaining about is how early they released the first DLC?
To be fair, the only DLCs, I considered actually worthwhile are from the video game "The Witcher 3". It would highly depend on how many DLCs there will be within that season pass and the individual price tags of each vs the game play time length of each.
Just came across this, clearing it up:
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/ubisoft-responds-as-star-wars-outlaws-comes-under-fire-for-jabba-the-hutt-season-pass-exclusive/
So, basicall, you get an exclusive Jabba missions with that expensive tag-along upgraded purchase Season Pass.
"... with the Gold edition..."
So, one gets a Day 1 mission with the Season pass, leading to imply the sort of delayed Jabba content thing.
They can count on the low impulse control to continue consuming the slop.
IQ continues to decline in the developed world, so lol
add these three games into one for a good start: star wars galaxies + star wars rebellion + star wars battlefront
done correctly without game breaking bugs and glitches
without nerfing things
without making major updates that break the game
without unreasonable subscription fees and pay to wins and in your face micro transactions
without non starwars political messages stealing the stage
Dude, the main character looks like Ripley from both Alien 1979 and Alien 1986 as well as Sarah Connor from Terminator 1984, especially with that 80's hair she has, so what in the nine hells are you even talking about?
Kay Vess isn't any uglier than Bo Katan, Cara Dune, Leia Organa, Ahsoka Tano, Padme Amidala, Bastilla Shan, Jan Ors, etc.
Makes me wonder what your standards for women are and if you're one of those guys who think the only women that should be allowed to be protagonists should be supermodels with always perfect make up.
I really hope that isn't you...
Oh and just FYI: Kay Vess is face capped from the actress voicing her and surprise: the actress looks exactly like Kay Vess does. Her name is Humberly González if you're curious, here's two photos of her:

also as a reminder: Cal Kestis, protagonist of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor, was also face capped from a real life actor. his name is Cameron Monaghan.

The funny thing is Stellar Blade is doing well financially, and Eve still kicks ass despite being hot and sexy. Most gamers still like the sex appeal.
Isn't Stellar Blade's release date of April 26 still a few days away? How can you already tell that its doing well financially?
Anyways, we gotta wait and see.
It looks like a competent made game that could be fun but whether its able to be remembered for long and stand the test of time or if its largely forgotten within a year will depend on more than just having a sexy female character as the lead.
Soulstice was fun and had a sexy female lead as the protagonist but hardly anyone remembers or even talks about that anymore.
The same is true for Code Vein, which even allowed you to create your own uber sexy anime female lead girl but that one too is largely forgotten with hardly anyone talking about it anymore.
The overwhelming majority of male leads in video games have well toned bodies, muscled physiques, six packs, a finely chiseled face with chin, perfect hair and just the right kind of facial hair to give that dashing, handsome and rugged look that a lot of people swoon over.
If you do any more sex appeal for male leads in video games, you'd have to make them wear nothing but a speedo, thong or loincloth throughout the whole game.
Female Protagonist is actually Han Solo,
just a Female dressed like him,
& the Female name is changed??
At least that is what it looked like to me,
it doesn't matter what the Weapon is...
That was my first reaction of the Game...
What was yours??
As crazy as it is, & as big of a fan of Star Wars that I am,
I don't own one single Game outside of The Old Republic
Franchise, & Galactic Battlegrounds & I don't own one Movie,
nor Comic of any kind...
But i've seen all 9 Movies & read some paper books...
Fair enough.
