could be alright, but I'm sure they'll inject it with girl boss trash.

trailer does not seem to imbue the grittiness of old movies

"Mad Max: Fury Road" was amazing and since George Miller is again in full creative control, I am expecting nothing else than a visual feast, that will fight Dune 2 in a duel to the death for all technical Oscars.

I wonder why Charlize Theron didn't return to this role, Anya Taylor-Joy has taken her role in this mad max

It's a prequel set 15-20 years earlier and Taylor-Joy is 21 years younger. Probably cheaper than CGI or make-up to make Theron look younger. Not that Theron necessarily looks "old", but you know Hollywood.

i liked Fury Road because it did a lot of new things, mainly with the world building (and went deep with that too).
but i always get doubtful when people start digging in the same spot by making sequels to stories that do not need further delving/explaining.

so i am skeptical about this one, but i was skeptical about Fury Road as well and it turned out to be one of my favorite action movies.
so i would gladly be wrong about this one too since i like good movies.
i will watch it at some point, but for now i remain skeptical.

I think it will be all right maybe not as good as the previous one but i would have liked it more if Theron was on her role again but oh well hollywood, that said, in Fury Road i thought Charlize was more of a main character than max itself, so maybe this one can be even better.

He doesn't care if the director is good (which he is). It has a strong female protagonist, so it is automatically bad for people like him.
a non cgi madmax would be more worthy to me and unique for today
just get a bunch of old cars and crash em and nail leather to people

But that's essentially what "Mad Max: Fury Road" was. The cars were real, so were the stunt people.

And the guitar player, which IMHO is the coolest thing ever in the history of film.

The show will probably be typical Hollywood "meh" these days

Hope the pc game released based on it will be as good as the last one
