Edit:
Nevermind... it's just some children's show, or whatever. 😐
I'd also like to point out that the right wing bronies are only a subsect of the fandom. Things caught on like a wildfire and quickly escaped the confines of 4chan, so there's a lot more fans who likely never even visited the site and would be disgusted if they saw the 4channers. For everyone else, well, most of them ended up trans.
actually yes, i have noticed this too. i do not think it is entirely "those who watched mlp have become right wingers", because there are still being many people from furry communities and such who are quite progressive.
but yeah...there is a strange link, i have noticed too. that some of the people who enjoyed such contents a decade ago have now become very, very right wing in the modern day
That’s the official version but I doubt it.
Sure, some intoxicated pot heads may have been watching this show for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. But usually, you wake up the next morning, laugh about it and move on with your life. It doesn’t really explain how it could catch on like this. Basically everyone and their mom has been an mlp fan back then.
And this may be far fetched, but I’m suspecting some hostile intelligence agencies / conspiracy theory groups spreading this to test how people can be manipulated into believing a lot of bs.
I even think the whole mlp thing was a precursor to what’s going on right now. The far right shift now appeared out of nowhere just like how mlp became a thing back then.
Btw, if so many former mlp fans would have become trans nowadays, there is no way trump could have won the election because there were so many.
Anyway, this is just my version.
i'm NOT a brony at all but this applies to almost everything, you only think everyone from a certain group is some way or no one is another way because it's just what you're shown, of course people are going to make brony content with gross stuff for clicks
i mean if they're not hurting anyone, i guess it's fine, it's just a show
Actually, my friend once had a teacher who watched cartoons out of pedagogical interests. (As in: for educational purposes.)
He wasn't obsessed. But still, it can make logical sense for a grown up to look at that.
Adults used to be expected to grow out of video games, cartoons
And so few adults grew out of starwars.

Games a wholesome collect-a-thon, why hate on what others enjoy?
Can tell you that I'm gonna empower my profile further and 100% this gem too.

Powerful Pony Pup knows friendship is magic.
Which video games and cartoons are you comparing this to? Give context, content, more details. You're comparing it to ponies intended to appeal to little girls. What's the content and context of these cartoons and video games and which audiences were they intended to appeal to?
If it were a my little pony or Barbie video game and grown men were playing, it would be an oddity. Why would that appeal to them?
I'd never play 99% of the games nor watch 99% of the cartoons I played and watched decades ago, I lost all desire to decades ago. My mind developed as I aged.
Star Wars is an oddity too, that's why they begin to consider developmental disorders and deficits in relation to their development. They're wondering why they haven't developed and lost interest like MOST people do. That's the oddity, the irregularity. It's intriguing. Could their be a trauma in relation to developmental stages therefore they have become obsessed with it? Why the fixation?
The answer to that would be
Born too late to explore the seas.
Born too soon to explore the stars.
Born just in time to enjoy my little pony on Steam and make other brothers question their own reality.
