I love thunderstorms and lightening and such.
The people scared of it are scared due to numerous reasons but last not least the fact that thunderstorms CAN become dangerous to humans, I mean people are indeed struck by lightening and people are also hit by debris flying around.
I think one should have respect for such extreme weathers but not fear. I mean, I also don't run up on an open field when there is lightening.
After that I enjoyed watching them.
I should add as that is the question, I did not like the randomness of them nor the 'what is going on' feeling and the booms and flashes.
That is probably what I like about them when I was made to watch them that time and onwards.
Outside here it´s usually not unsafe either, because You´re hardly the tallest thing around, but it might be bad with all the water, and wind, and stuff - like some random sign flying into the face.
So maybe it stems from long ago when thunderstorms used to be a big thread to our survival, or something.
Also, due to poor brushing and flossing habits they now have a mouth replete with metal fillings, and know they are prime targets for a direct hit.
Two men enter, one man leaves. It's disgusting!
Wait, I'm thinking of Thunderdome.
Though the derechos a couple years back caused much more misery. I've learned my lesson and will never again allow even small branches to extend over my roof.
