Do you like physical affection?
A lot of people seem to not like physical affection of any kind these days and love to cite "sensory issues" as the reason why. is this true? Do you like hugs or snuggling or anything like that?

" A lot of people " ? Where do you take these information from ?

Do I like hugs, snuggling and so on? Yeah of course, if its by my wife or child, certainly not by random strangers.

You have to understand that most people do like it, cultures and social groups just have different boundaries regarding WHO they get close with. For example, in Italy it is common that you hug and kiss each other on the cheeks when you meet, they do this with friends and strangers.

In my country in Germany, you generally don't do that, you shake hands. Family members might hug at most, but cheek kissing isn't popular, only with some youths who hang out with Arabs too much. lol.

People being told to stay 6 feet away from everyone else for nearly 2 years may have something to do with that.

Nearly everyone irl that I know. One of my friends was crying and I put my hand on their shoulder to comfort them and they said they had sensory issues and hated it. Other people on my group say similar things. I only have one friend who likes hugs and that's why he's one of my favorites

'too much' ?
How can you hang out with people 'too much' just because they happen to be Arabian?

I don't mean this in an insulting way towards your friends, but could it be possible that the people you are surrounded by are just weird ? Its certainly not the majority. I am a little older than you, travelled a lot and so on and I never had the impression that most people dislike physical affection, in fact most people actually do like it.

You are on my block list, so I am not even gonna bother to reply to your troll attempt.

Well then it's probably just the people I hang out with

I would strongly assume so, yes.

But as said, general rule is, it depends of the relationship you have with a person.

I would say it is a culture and geography thing. As a Dominican, we are very affectionate with our family members. We kiss each other on the cheeks every time we meet.

My siblings and I were physically playful as kids and as adults. My sisters and brothers are all in our 40s and we still tickle each other. Awkwardness or "being uncomfortable" is not in our DNA.
Not from men.

But I've never experienced this "post-nut clarity" thing I've heard about with any of my girlfriends so I guess the answer is yes. I still like being next to them afterward.

Mm, I love it!
.. However, I'm very selective with whom I let close to me.
It has to be someone I've spent years studying with or someone I've got a crush on (nobody atm), or someone whom I've met a few times already and have met just because others in the family know them.
Even then, I am very much against the deeper physical affections until I can confirm that the other person is comfortable with it or straight out desires it. Then, it's all up to me.. Which is to hold myself aback rather than embarrass myself out of misreading the atmosphere.

It has to do with cultures being different to each other, but that shouldn't be anything surprising, really. It has been like that for years.
