Basically all decent shoes are made in Europe/USA.
Never wear fake, it makes you look tragic.
they're manufactured in china using exclusive licenses and biblically arcane copyrights that ensure an entire style of shoe design can only be worn if you pay them. even if you make it yourself.
the cheap brands and poor brands come from the exact same factory, the same production line, the same techniques, and the same materials.
the brand is wroth money because it's a form of modern day nobility that supports elite culture. it's otherwise literally the same terrible shirt, just this one says "I ♥♥♥♥ royals" on it and has the official seal of approval of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Inc.
also replace royals with whatever brand of shadowy elite you feel passes in the us. rockefeller's a good brand right? how about charles schwab? "shirts by schwab." you can have the actors in the commercials wear them and everything. oh wait schwab does use fashion lines it's invested in when filming oh wow. oh only 20% by agreement, okay.
There's nothing worse than being poor and pretending you aren't.
You get what you pay for though.
Quality will last years while cheap designer gear from the Senegalese boys will fall apart after a week.
what world are we living in where if you don't want to drop 300 on a pair of branded shoes you are just poor lmfao uwu
A world where every child aged 11 or over has a mobile phone worth anywhere between 200-5000
I buy based on quality, not brand. That being said, my experiences with some brands have led to my impression of their good quality. That impression is not always carried forward, year to year, when I encounter one of their products showing evidence of quality being purposefully reduced...
In general, though, the sorts of products I tend to prefer "name brands" for are usually fairly easy to judge "on the rack." For instance, I look at seams and the quality of that thread, reinforced stitching, the quality of leather, the tacking and folds in shoe construction, grommets, buttons, etc.
There are brands, for instance, that are expensive and may not feel the need to cut production costs by lowering quality over the choice just to... raise their price.
I don't knowingly buy fakes and don't shop at stores where such things are likely to exist. I also don't buy much of anything online in the way of branded items. For clothing, I have to be able to touch it, first.
Any attention I may have ever paid to "brand" died back in the "Member's Only" jacket days...
My girlfriend had a pair of Versace glasses and they lasted 5 years.
It goes to show branded gear is quality gear.
