My man. The best single malt I have enjoyed (and I have enjoyed a bunch) is the Deveron 12yr. Japanese whisky is pretty good as well, but can be hard to find. I just had to snag a bottle of Yamazaki 12 I saw at a store...can't find that shib anywhere

Bourbon isn't scotch.

The best scotch I've had was Grangestone, but its not widely available.

My go-to is a 12 year old Glenfiddich.

I'm not a fan of the smokey scotches, so neither of my favorites is very smokey.

but it is very peaty and smokey, if that is a problem.
and any other Islay whiskey is also pretty much a win imo, such as Laphroaig and Lagavulin, but they are all pretty smokey

Macallan and Johnnie Walker are both nice and not very smokey.
